In October of 1987 the construction of the Bellemeade Nine was started with Bobby Weed as the architect and completed on July 4, 1988. On July 4,1990 our beautifully appointed and designed sports complex and Plantation Grill opened.

In 1995, the clubhouse was completely renovated. In 1997, the plantation and bottom nines were rebuilt. The clubhouse includes a full service lounge, dining rooms, banquet room, and special meeting rooms. The Valdosta Country Club has been the recreational and social center of the Valdosta area for years. The Club takes great pride in hosting the 1999 NCAA II Golf Tournament and the 1999 USA Senior Tour. In 2014 Mr. Frank Eldridge, long-standing VCC Member, was inducted into the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame.

The Valdosta Country Club golf course was carved out of the South Georgia woodlands and pines that once encompassed the Cherokee Plantation during the Civil War.

We offer a challenging 27 hole golf course co-designed by Joe Lee and Bobby Weed, driving range, two practice greens, eight tennis courts, of which four are clay courts, state of the art fitness center, short-course Olympic-size swimming pool, baby pool and newly renovated snack bar.

In 2015, the entire Clubhouse—including Ballroom, Dining Room, Lounge, Lobby, Pro Shop, Fitness Center and Locker Rooms—was completely renovated to provide a fresh, new look with modern finishes and improved amenities. In 2016 the Tennis Courts were refinished with beautiful and classic Har-Tru clay. And in 2022 the Club broke ground on a full 18-hole golf course renovation.  The Valdosta Country Club celebrated 100 years in 2017 and we look forward to many, many more!
